Localization Lengths for Two-Dimensional Random Band Matrices: Stretched-Exponential Lower Bounds
En palabras de los autores
We consider random band matrices with centered complex Gaussian entries, indexed by points on the two-dimensional discrete torus . The matrix entries vanish whenever the distance between and exceeds the bandwidth parameter . We prove that if , then, with high probability, all bulk eigenvectors are delocalized. Equivalently, this yields a lower bound of order for the localization lengths of two-dimensional random band matrices, improving the superpolynomial lower bound for every fixed constant established in arXiv:2503.07606.
