Statistical delocalization in the Anyonic Aubry-Andr\'e model
En palabras de los autores
Many-body localization is remarkable in that localization persists despite the presence of dynamical interactions. Here we demonstrate the converse phenomenon: enhanced many-body delocalization induced solely by exchange statistics. We study a Aubry-Andr\'e quasiperiodic system of anyons in one dimension in the absence of density-density interactions. In terms of anyon operators, the system is described by a quadratic Hamiltonian. By analyzing the finite-size scaling of its spectral properties and the inverse participation ratio of many-body eigenstates, we find that increasing the anyonic statistical phase systematically shifts the many-body localization crossover toward larger quasiperdiodic potentials. We further confirm these findings using a dynamical probe, namely the persistence of an initial density imbalance following quenches. Our results establish exchange statistics as an independent mechanism capable of altering many-body localization, revealing a fundamentally distinct route to delocalization in one-dimensional quantum systems.
