Pinch's conjecture on -convexity
In the authors' words
For in , a subset contained in is said to be -convex if . According to Pinch [Math. Proc. Cambridge Philos. Soc., 1985], the -convex hull of is the intersection of all of the -convex subsets of that contain , and Pinch also defines as the -convex hull of in . Pinch conjectured that if is a totally real algebraic integer and has no limit points, then every algebraic conjugate of other than is in . We succeed in proving this conjecture, which seems to have remained open.
Main resultThe abstract does not state a limitation.
